Empowering change

I believe in radical self-acceptance as a way to honor your already innate and complete wholeness. With clients, I strive to offer an opportunity to observe the depths of your conscious and unconscious patterns, without judgment, in a nurturing and empathetic environment.

About me

(She/Her/They/Them)

I’m an LCSW with over seven years of experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and individuals, and I’ve been licensed for four years. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate life’s transitions, particularly those experiencing trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe in empowering clients to recognize that they are the experts of their own journeys, and I’m committed to providing compassionate guidance as they heal and grow.

Originally from Maryland, I’ve had the privilege of traveling and working across the country, but I’ve called New Mexico home for the past eleven years. I’m fluent in American Sign Language, having spent many years studying and working at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. As a life-long learner, I've completed a year-long training program with Dr. Gabor Maté, deepening my understanding of trauma and healing. For the last two years I've been training in a direct lineage of Dora Kalff in Jungian Sandplay.

Outside of work, you’ll find me floating in glacial lakes, roller skating, dancing or planning my next adventure to hotsprings.

Somatic Approach

I am trained in a somatic-based therapy technique called Compassionate Inquiry, which relies on integrating increased physical awareness as a foundation into the therapeutic process. Compassionate Inquiry focuses on the connection between physical sensations and emotions. Somatic therapy integrates elements of talk therapy with body techniques to provide increased awareness which is helpful for clients trying to heal from trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, or substance use.

PTSD Treatment

I am certified in a neurological intervention called Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memory (RTM). RTM is a novel treatment that seeks to alter key aspects of the target memory to make it less impactful and reduce nightmares, flashbacks, hypervigilence and other features of PTSD. RTM is a non-traumatizing process of visualization techniques that support you in safely disassociating the traumatic memory from the traumatic feelings. The main goal of this treatment is for you to remain relaxed and comfortable during the entire process as I guide you through a series of visualization practices. To find out more information about the RTM protocol and if it may support you in your PTSD healing, please feel free to reach out to me.
